Yesterday, in an election where 56 percent of registered voters cast their ballots, Fort Zumwalt voters passed Proposition 1 with 63 percent approval. Thank you for your continued support of our mission to Educate, Empower and Equip Students to Excel. Ensuring our schools and facilities are secure and welcoming is central to this mission. When students and staff feel safe and know that school is a place where they belong we create an environment that nurtures them in their learning and supports them in their teaching. Because voters approved our request for permission to borrow funds for capital improvements, over the next several years you will see us:
Continue to upgrade security features across our schools
Create accessible playgrounds where all students can play together
Continue to maintain and enhance our fields, courts, tracks, auditoriums and improve opportunities for students
Continue to maintain our schools in a manner that our students and staff deserve and that you, our community, expect.
