Collage from the week

This week, Progress South students and staff celebrated our amazing school counselor team for School Counselor Appreciation Week, the one-hundredth day of the 2025-2026 school year, and kicked off the Kids Heart Challenge!

This week was School Counselor Appreciation week and at PSE we have a lot to appreciate! Mrs. Kircher serves our K-2 students while Mrs. Newby serves our 3-5 students as their school counselors. Mrs. Goldkamp services all of our students as our mental health professional. We couldn't survive without all of the support, guidance, and calm that the three of them add to our building. We are truly lucky to have such an amazing team to help us build Eagle Leaders. Our counselor team wanted to celebrate with a spirit week and we were happy to join in:

Monday: PJ Day

Tuesday: Bright colors

Wednesday: College/Career Day

Thursday: Prints/Mix-match Day

Friday: School Spirit Day!

Monday was also the 100th day of school so our students and families got creative with DIY t-shirts. Our teachers provided 100th day themed stations, crafts, and activities as well!

This week, PSE also kicked off our Kids Heart Challenge! PSE, historically, participates well in this challenge! Last year, PSE was ranked 1st in the Fort Zumwalt School District, 4th in the state of Missouri, and raised over $25,000!

This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 and have at least 320 students registered. If you'd like more information: Visit our school page or download the Kids Heart Challenge App.

It seems like the first 100 days of this year has flown by for our Eagles and we know the rest of the school year will as well with all of our Spring performances, assessments, and family events. Keep an eye out for Dr. Williams' monthly newsletters in your email for all of the details. We look forward to growing, celebrating, and spending time with our PSE families this spring and beyond!
