Success in school is directly linked to school attendance. Our goal is for students to have an attendance rate of at least 96%.  Students can achieve this by not missing more than 6 days of school each year. Remember learning starts immediately at 8:20 a.m. so students arriving late, miss essential learning time in the classroom.

Arrival & Dismissal
*  School opens at 8:05 a.m. for students.
*  School hours are 8:20 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.
*  Students that arrive to the classroom after 8:20 a.m. need to sign in at the office and will be marked as tardy.
*  Dismissal starts promptly at 3:20 p.m. with walkers, daycare, and Y Club followed by bus riders and car riders.

Early Sign Out
*  If a student needs to leave school early, a parent or a person designated by the parent must come to the office to sign the child out.

*  Please be prepared to show valid identification.
*  Please do not call to have the child dismissed to the office prior to your arrival.  After the child has been signed out, we will call the student to the office to be dismissed.
*  For safety reasons, we seek your cooperation in these matters.

Change in Normal Dismissal Procedures
*  Should you require a change in how your child goes home, please call or email the office.
*  Students will go home their normal way unless we hear from the parent.

Student Absence
*  We understand illness and emergencies happen and aren't always avoidable.
*  If your child will not be able to attend school, please contact the office by 8:30 a.m.
*  You may leave a message on voicemail if you call before 7:30 a.m., stating your name, your child's name, the teacher's name, and the reason for the absence.
*  You may also email the reason for the absence to [email protected].
*  If we are not notified the day of the absence, we will contact you to verify the child being home.
*  If you know of a planned absence for your child ahead of time, please notify the office.  Also, if you are planning an extended absence for your child please request a "Planning Absence" form from the office.
